Congratulations!

We would like to congratulate Danyel Wright, our lead custodian who was honored as the "GEM" of the region.  She was recognized by the President of Service Solutions live on our in house news station as the school watched from their classrooms.  We are so PROUD of her!

Making Her Mark

Congratulations to Mrs. Avant for Making Her Mark here at Pontiac!  She was nominated by one of her colleagues and recognized during this weeks faculty meeting.  We are so proud of her!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

We want to thank Grace Life Church for sending volunteers to assist with our Dads & Donuts this morning.  We could not have done it without you!

Dads & Donuts

Dads & Donuts

What a fabulous turn out this morning for our Dads & Donuts.  We are so very proud of our Pontiac men!  We had over 200!  It is so exciting to know that these guys are willing to volunteer here at our school in our W.A.T.C.H.D.O.G.S. program. Mr. Williams, one of our assistant principals who organized the event, began with an explanation of the program. "WATCH D.O.G.S. is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement, organizations in the country. Since the program’s creation in 1998, more than 6,450 schools across the country have launched a WATCH D.O.G.S. program of their own. Each school year hundreds of thousands of fathers and father-figures make a positive impact on millions of children by volunteering millions of hours in their local schools through this amazing one-of-a-kind program. Who are Watch D.O.G.S? Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the school principal or other administrator."
Again, we appreciate all of the gentlemen who came out today to support our students. Here are a few pictures:
