Meet Kamryn - The Painter, By Mr. Swick

20140922-081528.jpg
I must confess that even though I have taught Kamryn for more than a year, I had no idea what a talented artist she is. This is Kamryn's second year with my class, and as a 5th year student I thought I knew her pretty well. However, I was taken completely by surprise when I found out that she had an art show this past Saturday. I was even more shocked by how great her paintings are! It is a very big treat to be allowed to present at the Rosewood Arts Festival! Kamryn says she gets her talent from her grandmother, and the she even sold a painting already.kam paint

Mr. Swick's Class - Where I'm From Poem

Mr. Swick's Montessori class has been working on assembling different types of Personal Narratives in the 1st quarter. The students have done a super job working like writers, as they collect ideas, and sort through drafts. At this point, one of our favorite pieces has been to use George Ella Lyon's style of "Where I'm From" poetry.
