Pontiac was so excited to celebrate our Veterans this morning. The ceremony began in the cafeteria with a welcome from two of our student leaders. Posting of the colors by our Boy Scouts was next, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, lead by our Stars and Stripes Club. Our chorus then sang the National Anthem. A poem was read and America's White Table was recognized by our Stars and Stripes Club. The guest speaker, Warrant Officer One, Elicia Moore, along with her daughter, shared her experiences and sacrifices all military families face. The ceremony concluded with the Stars and Stripes club and chorus singing, "America The Beautiful" and Dr. Barbers final remarks The Veteran's were then recognized individually as they were escorted by their student to parade through the decorated hall's lined with cheering students to a special breakfast in the media center.
