Dear Richland Two Parents and Employees,
Richland School District Two is canceling school on Monday, September 11. Richland County Government has declared a state of emergency for our county ahead of the impact of Hurricane Irma in our area.
As of the latest forecast on Friday, tropical-storm force winds may affect our area throughout the day Monday. Sustained high winds can result in unsafe travel conditions, especially for school buses. Therefore, Richland Two will close all schools and offices for students and employees on Monday, September 11.
We will monitor conditions and consult with county and state emergency management officials in order to make a safe and informed decision about Tuesday’s schedule. We will notify our parents and employees as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Libby Roof
