MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing will begin Tuesday,
September 5 and end on the 21st for grades 2-5. This assessment is
given in the fall and then again in the spring. This helps us monitor growth
and find out each child’s strengths and weaknesses. MAP results are usually sent home with report
cards. After the Fall test, the classroom teachers will meet with students and
set goals for each student and their classroom.
There is no real way to study for this test. The test is taken on a computer
and usually lasts less than an hour per test. Your 2nd through 5th
grade child will be tested in Reading
and Math.
