Annual Student Information Update
If you have not already done so, please login to Parent Portal to complete the annual student information update. It is important to complete this process before school gets out for the summer to prevent delays in your student’s registration for the 2016–2017 school year.
This process includes providing proof of residence, verifying student information and reviewing and completing parent or guardian agreements. If your student’s information has not changed from the previous school year, you still need to log into the system, confirm your information and review agreements that must be completed each year as required by policy or law.

Interim Reports
Interim reports at Pontiac Elementary are accessible from Parent Portal this school year. Interims for the 4th 9 weeks grading period are available to you from Parent Portal. If you have an active Parent Portal account, you may check your child's grades each week. When you log in to your account, the grades will automatically appear on the screen. There is not a report tab to click in Parent Portal.
It is important to monitor your child's progress through Parent Portal before report cards are issued. The 4th grading period ends on May 12th and the report card will be issued on June 3rd.
You can access Parent Portal at HTTPS://PARENTS.RICHLAND2.
To create a Parent Portal Account:
1. Click Create an Account
2. Complete the top section with your personal information. Write down your Username/Password.
3. Add your child(ren) in the fields below. To add student(s), you will need to enter an Access ID and Access Password.
a. Access ID - Student ID number (either 12 or 5 digits). Our school registrar can provide you with your child's student id number if you need to create an account.
b. Access Password - Student’s birthday, using 6-digits without dashes or slashes.
Example: MMDDYY - 010104
4. Click Submit.

Marissa Young, 4th grade teacher at Pontiac Elementary, received the 2016 ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) Young Educators Award. The award is presented to an outstanding educator, 35 years or younger, who demonstrates vision, innovation action and transformation using technology to improve learning and teaching. Along with being recognized at the Society's national conference in Denver in June, she will be receive a cash prize and ISTE membership. Congratulations, Ms. Young!
